The Journal of Applied Health Sciences (JAHS) is an open-access journal committed to transparent, accessible, and ethical dissemination of scientific knowledge. All articles published in JAHS are made freely available online and can be used under the terms of a Creative Commons licence.

JAHS currently uses the licence: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/

Under this licence:

  • Anyone may read, download, copy, distribute, print, reuse, or adapt the article for any lawful purpose.
  • Users must give appropriate credit to the original authors and JAHS.

  • Page charges
  • Colour figure fees
  • Publication or access fees

Publishing in JAHS is free for all authors, regardless of country, affiliation, or funding status.

Authors retain responsibility for:

  • Securing permissions for copyrighted images, tables, or figures
  • Ensuring all reused material complies with copyright law
  • Declaring open-licence content

JAHS will not publish copyrighted materials without proper permissions.

JAHS ensures:

  • Long-term archiving via Hrčak and LOCKSS/PKP preservation networks
  • Metadata transparency and integrity
  • Clear and consistent application of CC BY licensing
  • Compliance with funder mandates (Horizon Europe, NIH, Wellcome Trust, etc.)
  1. Modifications of Licensing Policy

Any future changes to this policy:

  • Will be clearly announced
  • Will apply only to future articles
  • Will not affect the rights of previously published authors
